Becoming Roake
I spent nearly 30 years as a trained aesthetician. I believed in anti-aging. Sold it. Lived it. For most of my career, I helped women try to turn back time, because that’s what we were taught to want.
But somewhere along the way, I began to question it. Not just the products, but the pressure. The silence. The message that age is something to hide.
When I entered my fifties, after losing both my father and husband in their forties, I realised I had outlived them. That changed everything. I no longer wanted to chase youth. I wanted to honour the privilege of aging.
That’s why I created Roake, skincare rooted in care, not correction.
We create bioactive formulas made for mature and menopausal skin, because your skin evolves and that’s not a flaw. That’s life. We’re here to help you glow older, with skin that feels supported, not scrutinised.
Each product is crafted with botanicals, barrier-supporting actives, and ingredients that work with your skin’s natural rhythm. To support your skin as it evolves, not to reverse it.
Roake carries my African heritage. The names of our products reflect that: Olori means queen. Olewa means you are beautiful. Roake was named by my son. using the initials of all my children, a reminder that this brand is both deeply personal and lovingly shared.
Roake isn’t just about skincare.
It’s about reclaiming how we see ourselves as we age.
Because aging isn't fading. It’s evolution. And we deserve to feel radiant at every stage.
